ONE CHURCH ONE CHILD
Building Strong Families One Church at a Time
What is the One Church One Child Program of Mississippi Families for Kids?
One Church One Child is an interdenominational network of churches working together to find families for older special needs children in foster care.
On any day in Mississippi, the number of children in foster care totals more than 3,000. Many of these children have the goal of adoption as their permanent plan. Mississippi Families for Kids strives to find families for these children in waiting. Churches serve as major partners in this endeavor through the One Church One Child program. One Church One Child seeks churches to identify strong families who are willing to adopt at least one child.
The One Church One Child Program of Mississippi Families for Kids was initiated through a grant from the National Network of Adoption Advocacy Programs (NNAAP). For more information on NNAAP, visit www.nnaap-ococ.org. |
